If you follow Calvinism and works of the Reformation there is evidence in those theological works. Ultimately we must come to the conclusion that ALL things were created by HIM. Thus as you say he is GODS devil. This also puts another very difficult concept upon the table. GOD created our adversary knowing full well Lucifer would rebel. This endows GOD as the ultimate author of sin, making man the proximate author of sin by challenging the divine order. This doesn't make GOD the direct author of sin. But you have to acknowledge that in GODS wisdom he created the conditions at which he knew [being omniscient] sin would occur.
So this then proposes the next purpose of GOD that man should be allowed to fall in order to be redeemed to demonstrate the Love, power and mercy of the Almighty. You will see the tenets of this premise in the TULIP of reformed theology. Total depravity, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace and perseverance of the saints.
