the Choice Point, at this point in "time" there are two energies that are wholly incompatible: Fear and Love/Liberation. They simply cannot exist comfortably side by side. One cannot be living in the harmony of Love within a framework of panic and fear about everything - oddly, both become poisonous to each other at a certain point for the Individuated.

See why the Matrix focuses on fear and panic? It is far easier to reinforce, or "confirm," the fear and panic via teeeveee etc., then it is to confirm the energy Love/Liberation which cannot be confirmed by design.
