Someone remind me again why we drink the blood of Christ @ Church. Have they perverted religion over time or do they all have dark origins?

Hard topic to talk about before this Pope.

Interesting....my bf and I discussed this a few nights ago. I am not Catholic, but I went to Catholic school and mass for 10 years. I did not have to participate in communion or confession. Thankfully so because I never wanted to and was always uncomfortable watching it.

I have been to a few churches over the years and some in my family still believe that I will go to hell because I don't go at all now. I have my faith and my own connection with God. I don't need to sit in a building for two hours and listen to someone's interpretation of the bible to have that. Organized religion is another way to be controlled.

I have the same thinking: God is in me - not in a building. All this rituals in churches were always strange to me ... I think we have to forget everything what we‘ve learned/listened in our past life and start a new one ?!
