With 40-degree nights lately, we've been letting the dogs in to sleep.

When Gran saw the marks, she took me with her to the school.
She was in RARE form that day, hotter than a fully-loaded stove!
Poor principal & teacher both had sore spots on their chest/shoulders from that index finger, I'm sure!

I had a teacher force me to pick a hand in school too! I was crushed by that, it was something I was really proud of. Now that I’m older it really makes me realize how much they tried to stifle us and stunt our growth in school. I chose my right but can still write decent with my left!

Treatment like that is like asking you to chew your food with half your teeth!
It makes no sense!
It serves no purpose other than to stifle & frustrate the child, who reasons, "God gave me 2 hands & I'm not supposed to use one of them... why?"
My immediate choice was to rebel. I got my gran to go talk to them, knowing how pissed she'd be. She went nuclear.
One teacher had it in for me after that... I wrangled a way to get her fired about 6 months later - she didn't last the term.
Oh, I can be a very bad girl when I'm doing good in the world!
One of the BEST ways a child can rebel is to simply make themselves impossible to deal with, which is what I did, which is what helped me escape my pedo-loving abusive mother & got myself sent away to live with my grandparents... BEST result, ever!
Children are NOT stupid; the adults who treat them as if they are are the STUPID ones.
