...how come the moon is supposed to take 24 hours to pass around us so the shadow should move at the same exactly matched rate speed in an eclipse yet does not.
Why during an eclipse does the shadow of the moon only show up so small it wouldn't cover one whole state at a time as it makes its way across the U.S. yet the supposed size of the moon is much larger than the whole country's footprint? And why in no other instance can you get a sharp-edged, definable silhouette shadow to cast smaller than the object casting the shadow in any instance...except for during an eclipse and they have a big long hokey poky explanation of why that is the ONLY instance that happens in.
And furthermore during an eclipse...why is the moon's shadow going the wrong direction according to the supposed location/direction of travel for the moon and the earth's supposed rotation direction?
