MJ could have been wearing costumes, masks, or doing other things to cause identity confusion. I wonder if he was using doubles at times, to distract away from his kids to protect them. So it is not a new thing to see him with almost white skin. I think other people have lightened their skin with chemical peels, for different reasons. I have a friend who had burns over most of his body from an accident when he was a kid and it caused him skin problems his entire life because the damaged skin does not grow right, and he always had to have skin grafts.
