In study NCT04895982, last updated May 24, 2021, Biontech / Pfizer aims to determine whether Covid-19 vaccines are safe and effective for immunocompromised people 2 years of age and older. It is looking for 180 children in the United States, Brazil and Germany with the most severe forms of cancer or who have had organ transplants. They will receive three doses of the Pfizer / Biontech mRNA vaccine against Covid-19 and then be monitored for efficacy and side effects for 6 months. It is emphasized that subjects who are seriously or terminally ill must have a life expectancy of at least one year at the start of the study.
