This is just ONE example of a boarding school (not one specific). They were everywhere in the United States and Canada. Their purpose? “Kill the Indian, save the man” 😢
Thousands of children never made it home. Many died there at the school (sometimes in unmarked graves), others perished as they tried to run home, running away from the horrific abuses (every type imaginable).

The same treatment was given to reform schools and orphanages. Evil for centuries.
