The CDC rates all vaccines using a parameter they call VE (vaccine effectiveness). I just looked up the data for the 2019-20 influenza season and the flu vaccine. The VE rate for all ages is the same as the subset of 65 and older (39%).
In their report on the Covid vaccine, they are reporting a VE of ~95% depending on the vaccine used.
I am sorry, but as a scientist these numbers CANNOT be right. The influenza rates are much more in tune with other vaccine VE’s.
What do you think about the data?
