I have been hearing from people who are having serious problems with their taxes.
I know of eleven ... One is my daughter
She was told its not identity theft . It is people who are after taxes with the stimulus attached to it. The stimulus makes it a bigger chunk of money.
I was told I need to verify my identity
I'm heading to H&R today.
Anyone else ???

I filed 2019 on 4-1-20. After follow ups through August, I quit checking to see if received. Never received any stimulus $. This year I used turbo tax. It rejected my return cuz 2019, saying there were errors with my return. After speaking with a rep from turbo tax, I was told there are over 7m people whose 2019 returns were not yet reviewed, and to get 2020 accepted I had to file that I was just now filing 2019. Wondering what kind of penalties I'm going to get.
