Genesis 3:23-24 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
The bible talks of these gateways or portalways but they are heavily guarded by The Lords angels. This is why [they] attemp to build their own as a bypass for as God tells us there are wars in the heavens as well, that is why at the end(beginning) he will destroy the old heaven and earth and bring about the new ones that are free from ANY taint of evil.
