Good morning from the frozen tundra called Texas! It's snowing bigly here again this morning. It's supposed to be our last day and night of this unprecedented weather. (4 winter cold fronts within one week)! Prayers for everyone without electric and/or water! It's time for the people of Texas to speak up about [their] ugly useless windmills and solar panels! This is ridiculous!

We have found our groove to get water to our cattle by filling 55-gallon barrels with city water and strapping them to flat-bed pickups. Because our troughs are in muddy waterlots, we can't simply drive up and dump even with 4-wheel drive. So we park as close as we can and transport that water using 5-gallon buckets. It's not ideal but it's working. Diesel is becoming an issue but we are trusting the Lord with this one. #TexasStrong #RanchersAreResilient

See if you can find one of those white 250-gallon tanks encased in tubular steel. You can fill it & get close enough to run a hose to the water trough.

I've been in your position before.

I used to use 35 gal cans from lubricant to burn diesel & keep our stock ponds thawed enough. Fill them 1/2 way & set on some cinder blocks out of reach of the cattle. It will thaw about 10 ft out from the can.

Prayers coming your way!
