I do, I have a pullover coat on and at times another coat on top. We have electric and heat, just watching pennies. Last month was a huge $850 heat bill. 😯

🤯 Why so much?? Maybe something wrong with your unit?
In FL ppl can have the electric company come out to assess for efficiency and make recommendations. Do you have such a program?
I'm in the foothills of the Smokies now.
Have a heat pump w/ propane and electric.
House is old, and 1800 sq ft.
I keep thermostat on 67° to save money, and run a space heater in my bedroom to take the chill out of the air.
In cold winter months I average $100 on propane and $120 on electric per month.
And I thought that was high 😱

Not sure on all accounts. Small town, older heat pump (just had the compressor replaced, old house, and we have the overall house heat at 64 but have also a side radiator heater running in one room as well, but when it gets really low we also have to heat the pipes under the house Overall, many reasons!!! Before the new air compressor, last year and year before it got to over $1200 in Jan and then Feb last year and year before. Found out it was running mostly on emergency heat for the precious years. So in essence we are actually saving this year, although still too high! 💛

Oh my, $1200!!!
Do you have a fireplace or woodburning stove?
My neighbor has an insert with a blower that heats his whole house.
Hoping especially for you that free energy will be here soon!

Thank You, I as well! But being rural just means it takes a lot longer to reach us here. No, no fireplace here in this house.

I really wanted a fireplace but the builder said it was an expensive upgrade which is ridiculous. Want to get those cute wood stove heaters eventually. I was dripping water for a couple days last month during the freeze and water bill Doubled. I just invested in the best space heater and it’s such a good send. One room is warm and toast and a great place to work and rest and then the house doesn’t seem to be so difficult. I’m hoping with the heater off and just the space heater I can make up the bills with lower bills
