San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has revealed an unsettling detail fueling speculation about an electrical substation near the team's practice facility.

During his rookie season, Kittle noticed trees between the substation and practice fields were dead year-round.

"Above the fence, all the trees had no leaves on them, year-round... All dead," Kittle said.

The observation has intensified theories linking the Silicon Valley Power substation's electromagnetic fields to the team's injury epidemic, including Kittle's own season-ending Achilles tear and injuries to Nick Bosa and Fred Warner.
