BREAKING‼️: Russian Lt. Gen. Vladimir Alekseyev, deputy chief of military intelligence, has been shot multiple times by an unknown assailant in a Moscow residential building and hospitalized. His condition is unknown.

The shooter fled, prompting a criminal investigation including eyewitness interviews and surveillance review.

This follows the car bomb killing of Lt. Gen. Fanil Sarvarov last month and a day after the latest trilateral peace talks in Abu Dhabi between the U.S., Ukraine and Russia, whose delegation is led by the chief of military intelligence, Adm. Igor Kostyukov.
