I was in Dubai many moons ago visiting a friend. We went to another town as my friend had business there and we stayed at the local Ramada Inn.
It just so happened that the entertainers in the bar at the Ramada were friends of my friend, 2 young women dancer/singers and a young man, who played the piano.
So, we headed down to the 'bar' to see the show.
Might I add, I was the ONLY female other than the entertainers in the bar. The entire room was filled with men, ARAB men to be honest, in full arab regalia.
And they were ALL DRINKING ALCOHOL.
I managed to keep myself from tapping a few on the shoulders and saying 'praise be to Allah'. 👀
