I'm a tad older than most here and I can tell you when that pic of Nixon was taken the sign he is giving was the universally accepted sign for OK
I'm not saying it hasn't been perverted to mean something else but it is much like the Hook Em Horns hand sign for the Teaxas Longhorns is mistaken for the devils horns sign used at Heavy Metal concerts. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...

Context of situation plus common sense is key.. Not every OK sign is evil.On the farm here, hooking up a wagon to a tractor/implement that's louder than screaming, Ok sign means I'm done, you're hooked up, ready to go. Evil, nope. Or the sshh signal still means quiet, like when our kids are in the library, church, whatever, and you have to give them a hint to be quiet and respectful. Gptta agree Dan: sometimes a cigar IS just a cigar lol.
