The West is partly opening its eyes and partly continuing to act as a useful idiot and not preventing the entry of Trojan horses into its country that will seriously harm its citizens.
Look at major European countries like Britain, Italy, Spain, France, etc.. and also Australia and Canada.
The "leaders" of these countries are probably well rewarded for not seeing or understanding what is going to happen.
