Islam will stoop to ANY depth to smear its ancient enemy.
During the Roman occupation of Judea, Jews fought gurrilla warfare, they, wanted a WAR leader to drive the Roman's out of their land.
Jesus preached 'turn the other cheek', as opposed to 'an eye for an eye'
Jesus also recognized that Rome brought benefits to the region - roads, reliable water supplies, sanitation, public amenities - public security... The ruling Jews did not want to acknowledge those benefits, for giving up their power, so, they arranged to have Jesus turned in as a problem to the Roman's - his popularity being used as the reason he should be seen as a 'threat' to Rome.
Pontius Pilate tried to adjust the optics by having the MOB chose who they wanted freed... they picked what THEY saw as a war leader (Barabas - called a robber - but he robbed the Roman's not the Jews.)
Politics, and optics, lies and smears, just as we have today... but now Islam is running the media show.

I believe there were Jews who did believe in Jesus, like His disciples and Paul of course. The original followers of Jesus were Jewish, then the gentiles were added. Paul was sent specifically to the gentile nations. God's chosen people are those who trust and believe that Jesus is their Savior. Our names are written in the Book of Life. Those who remain as unbelievers have their names recorded in the books of life. ( plural because there are many). We are told the road is narrow. So all Jewish people are not God's chosen people. 😇

That very first verse talks about a fig tree not having fruit, becausexit was out of season, Jesus curses it regardless, then Jesus turning out the money lenders... not cursing Jews - the Bible does not say who the lenders were.
