How would you like it if the expensive car you bought some time ago was disabled by the Car Manufacturer because the Car Manufacturer didn't like the Country you were living in?
Another good reason to own a car or truck that doesn't have a computer, let alone a satellite connection.

Another reason why I still have, and will not get rid of, a '94 Ranger. Still going strong and dependable. Yet still want something older than that (square body chevy). No electronic ignition, good old points, condenser, rotor. Easy to repair.
