This was the first known design for a central natural gas furnace with zoned heating.
Important note: Her system did not use a blower (electric fans didn’t exist in homes yet), so air moved by convection only. It was never built commercially in her lifetime, but it is historically significant as the first patent for gas-powered central heating.
