When I taught in a low-income area, teachers had to attend a seminar. This seminar contained a several-step plan to follow to avoid calling CPS. As a mandated reporter, we could be held liable if we didn't call CPS. They were telling us to have counseling sessions with the parents. I can see why now, but they were asking the impossible.

Liability for Failure to Report: Failure to report when there is a suspicion can result in civil liability, and sometimes criminal charges, for the reporter [1]. The law prioritizes the safety and well-being of the child above the parents' desire for confidentiality or ongoing counseling.

They need to pay for the ruin they've caused to countless families. Why is it that anyone can call in and have a family investigated but the family has no right to know who called in the complaint on them? Alot corrupt of bullshit. The last thing on their mind is the safety and well being of the child. I can't wait for cps to be thoroughly investigated and justice served for all its many victims.
