Anyone remember the kids book Stone Soup? It's a folktale about community, cooperation, and how sharing meager bits can benefit everyone. Travelers started off with a stone in water, thinking of soup. Pretty soon neighbors starting adding in some of their own veggies, potatoes and meat. It fed the village! Have thought about this story a lot for if my neighbors have a a hard time through the end of this all. Neighbors each contributing something to throw into the simmering pot of soup so all would get a healthy meal and kinship through rough times if they're having them. Just a thought of how we could step up, too, if needed.
