Solar panel inverters controlling our solar power come from China, many linked to Chinese servers. Analysts warn this gives Beijing a “kill switch” over European grids and British grids.
So we banned Huawei from 5G but had no problem with our energy sector?

Well, you say we 'banned' Huwawei.
But what BT actually did was to NOT replace all the Huwawei gear, as we were told, but as the equipment only had, they said, about 2-4 years of lifespan left, they would then replace the end-of-life Huwawei stuff once they'd conked out, basically, and replace them with non-Huwawei stuff at that time.
Which probably would've been more Chinese-made stuff anyway, given that most electronics are made there - but I don't actually know.
