Once you see through the lie, you can’t go back. My new essay explores the cost of living between worlds — truth vs narrative, Anons vs “normies” — and the faith that all fractures will one day converge.

I always appreciate your work. An idea I offer for consideration is the protective measure of "sheep." I do not like that term bc it devalues people, but I understand why so many use it. When I think about people I know who may be in dangerous situations or entanglements, whether intentionally or unwittingly, I think being a "sheep" is to protect them. What would happen if someone is being used or surrounded by people leading double lives and they suddenly "wake up"? They would probably react, maybe confront someone, or tell others and then they would likely be in serious danger. This is why I no longer try to wake anyone up bc I do not truly know their situation. Would my trying to "wake them up" cause them injury or harm? This is a phenomenon that has plagued people who work with intimate partner violence. Why don't they get help or just leave becomes why don't they wake up?
