Does this equipment pose a threat to marine life at all?

Does it adversely affect the currents, diverting or lessening them?

It just seems that every time we are presented with 'new environmentally sound' tech, we eventually discover it's bad, and not worth the price... I do not know enough about this particular type... but it seems odd, that Trump has always pushed conventional power production - oil, coal, gas, unless this is just more of the shoving the bad guys into the spotlight tactic.

The most recent thing is that oil is not 'fossil', but a renewable resource in itself - so it could be that is why Trump has pushed for it.

I do wish Q would return and shed some light on all these questions -

Work with nature. And don’t use any materials that can NOT be recycle or disposed of safely.
There are ways to design the propellers to repel fish. They need to look to nature, look to the ocean for design clues friendly to sea life.
