They don't like their patients asking questions or reading up on certain subjects like, "are statins really good for you?" Since corporations have been allowed to take over control of hospitals and doctors offices, you're seeing way more corporate influence that says "time is money".....if you're an established patient and there for say, a routine check-up, the doctor is allotted a certain amount of time to address the problem, but should the patient deviate from that "specific reason", causing the doctor to spend extra time on you, you could be charged extra for that office visit! Notices are posted in the exam rooms! We are like cattle! Because of all this bureaucracy, and the unreal cost of malpractice insurance, many doctors are selling their practices and retiring early! Can't say I blame them, but damn, we've been with the same doctors for over 40 years and having to start all over at our age is tough when many won't take Medicare! Welcome to my world!
