Chicken Raising Tip:
Then I repeat the process with ASH, and alternate till there's a good layer of diatomaceous earth and ash all over the chicken coop. it does not harm the chickens and diatomaceous earth and ash kill and prevent Chicken Mites from infesting.
I have a steel shed for a chicken coop. If you have a wood chicken coop no problem UNLESS it's insulated then that can be hard to get Mites out of the inner walls and insulation. I suggest that chicken coops be single wall no drywall and no insulation so there are no hidden spaces for mites to infest.
I also have a dry rubber bucket filled with a diatomaceous earth/ash mixture for my chickens to bathe in. They love it.
Remember to keep your dust-bath and feeders out of the rain.
Hope that tip helps!
