I did the Gokyo Valley Trek as my first high-altitude trek, and it was an unforgettable experience. I walked through quiet villages, passed deep blue lakes, and climbed up to Gokyo Ri (5,357m) for an amazing view of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, and other snowy peaks. The Gokyo Lakes, especially Dudh Pokhari, were peaceful and beautiful. The trail was less crowded than the Everest Base Camp route, and the people were kind and welcoming. I went slow, drank lots of water, and had no big problems. If you want a quiet, scenic trek with amazing views, Gokyo Valley Trek is perfect.
