U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria said last month that the OpenAI complaint contained "swaths of unnecessary and distracting allegations" that made it "nearly impossible to determine the adequacy of the plaintiffs' legal claims," dismissing the case but allowing it to be refiled.
Martinez-Olguin on Thursday said the nine individuals who sued Google could amend their complaint, which she said "should be considerably more streamlined and crystallize the theory of this case."
The lawsuit, filed last July, accused Google of misusing content posted to social media and information shared on Google platforms to train AI systems.

I won’t knowingly use AI for this reason. We have no idea what they are doing with our inputs. The entire AI industry is opaque but seriously compromised. This vast topic was part of my grad studies. There is no consensus and the majority don’t read about developments. Highly risky.
