Columbia caves to Trump’s demands after $400M threat over campus antisemitism, will institute mask ban and more oversight
Columbia University caved to the Trump administration Friday — agreeing to policy changes including a mask ban and allowing campus cops to make arrests — after the feds yanked $400 million in funding over how the Ivy League school handled antisemitism.
The embattled Morningside Heights university — which had become the epicenter of violent anti-Israel protests — will also install new leadership to review curriculum for its Middle East, South Asian and African Studies department and Center for Palestine Studies, according to a memo from administrators.
The school said 36 campus cops will now be empowered to arrest students or boot them from campus when deemed appropriate.

but will they really do it?? the campus police? betcha they dont- not all anyway. and it will slither around unnoticed for a while thinking no one will see. and why with their reserves in high millions would they need that amount of money to run the place. you would be surprised about how much they spend of stuff above and beyond..
