I highly recommend watching Neil Simon's 1975 "The Prisoner of Second Avenue" starring Jack Lemmon & Ann Bancroft. While its all too real depiction of nutty city life (I grew up in NYC, & am a lifelong New Yorker) is not a knee slapper, it's funny, poignant, AND, has a VERY IMPORTANT CONSPIRACY THEORY speech by Lemmon in the middle of the film that had my jaw dropped when I watched it again not too long ago. He is speaking to his wife about what he heard on the radio.

From memory, "A conspiracy so BIG, SO widespread, you can't see it. And if you DON'T believe me, you deserve EVERYTHING COMING YOUR WAY."
