I must add this comment here, August 28. 2024 my 100 year old mother passed away. On 9/3/2024 SSI deposited her SS check FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST. Right after, the SSA froze my checking account for 5 days so they could retrieve that check. I was told that they do NOT probate the pay for the month even though she was alive for 28 days of that month. I had to ask my family to help me pay my mortgage until I could get back into my checking account. I also had to pay multiple bills on my mother's behalf.

I pray that PRESIDENT TRUMP and ELON MUSK will make significant changes to the SSA. Many senior citizens who have always paid their way are unable to access online their SSA accounts. Gaining access requires multiple attempts to get the access number(s), etc. It took me over 2 hours to wade through all those hoops and get online access to my account. The SSA is practicing very difficult rules. It should NOT take that much effort to log in to your account. Seniors deserve their money.
