I know for a fact...University of Michigan Medical Center uses Iron Mountain to store ALL THEIR DOCUMENTS. I worked in Radiology for 10 years.
That means every single MRI, CT, or bone scan of every single patient is stored at Iron Mountain.
I always wondered what happens to all those HIPAA documents. At this point, what good is a law that was designed to protect our medical history, when it's all stored in a facility for anyone to access? Secure location, my ass...
