I received my senior citizen discount for license tag in 2022...It's good for two years. Last week I applied for the renewal. I was denied. According to them I was over income which is a lie. Secondly, in 2023 while enrolled, my husband knowing I was enrolled, ONLY one allowed in the house at a time.
They approved him in 2023 for the discount. I didn't know until this week that he was given a discount. When I applied, it made me look like a criminal trying to take advantage of the senior citizen discount.

I asked, "How did this happen with me already assigned the discount?"

IL Dept: "Well it won't happen again! It was a clerical error... AND it won't happen again! You're denied the discount, good bye."

I should not be penalized for their mistake, & their lies about the income. Executive Inspector General isn't answering their phones to talk about this with me.
