Jesus Listens: Daily Devotional Prayers of Peace, Joy, and Hope: By: Sarah Young

Then Jesus spoke to them again: "I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life."
Ever present God,
I want the Light of Your Presence to shine on everything I experience-enabling me to see things from Your perspective. Help me to stay mindful of You in each and every situation I encounter.
I am encouraged by the biblical account of the patriarch Jacob who ran away from his enraged brother. He went to sleep on a stone pillow in a land that seemed desolate. Lord, I ask You to increase my awareness that You are with me-no matter where I am or what is happening. Whenever I'm feeling distant from You, please remind me that You are with me in this place. I'm so grateful that nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate me from Your loving Presence!
In Your Magnificent Name, Jesus, Amen.
