JUST IN: Here is the actual pardon documentation for Milley, Fauci and the J6 committee. It's sweeping.

'against the United States'
Just a question, is US a legally accepted name without the 'of America' part?
Lol also, the quote in itself means treason no?
Wow.
I dunno, but if they were going to get away with it, I'm pretty sure the other guys would have been gloating, especiallyin the beginning.... they really looked stressed to me, but I could be wrong....

Interesting...
Probably written by the same person/team then...
Would need some legal expertise to look at the wording in these docs to ascertain anything further....
I'm sure some one would have picked up such an error, if it were one, by now....

Wow, ok well based on this, the only potential challenge is that of the pardon being for something that hasn't even gone to court yet.... they jumped the gun on doge as well....
We will have to see how trump legal deals with this, if they even bother to.
I am astonished at this move... sincerely astonished. Should have expected it, but still. And I heard today that he pardoned his entire family!?!?!
Too far.

No, a U.S. President cannot pardon U.S. citizens who have not been convicted of a crime. The power to grant pardons, as outlined in Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, is specifically for "Offenses against the United States," which implies that there must be an actual conviction or at least an offense for which one could be legally charged. This interpretation has been upheld by legal precedents, which emphasize that a pardon is an act of forgiveness for a crime already committed or an offense adjudicated. Therefore, without a conviction or at least an indictment, there is no legal basis for a pardon.
