Four U.S. Airmen last Thursday fell deathly ill following prolonged exposure to the mysterious chemical fog that descended like a suffocating blanket on parts of the United States, afflicting residents from Florida to the Northeast with acute respiratory distress and other maladies that defy explanation.
On December 30, four airmen stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola were outdoors when the opaque, stifling fog overwhelmed them, doubling them over as they gasped for breath and coughed reflexively and uncontrollably.
