If anyone is interested in a dry food storage subject,
I successfully stored ORGANIC QUINOA in a tied up kitchen trash bag (air pushed out) and then closed up tight in a brand new plastic 5-Gallon Bucket with locking lid FOR OVER 10 YEARS.
Tasted just as good on the last day cooked as the first day. I reckon pressing the air out the bag and keeping the 5-gal bucket closed tight was also a key factor.
10+ years.
And Quinoa is really good for one's digestive system, BTW.
Tri-colored Quinoa is especially tasty. Reminds me of Wild Rice.
I made sure to go ORGANIC.
