Figures from UK, a teeny tiny island, from years ago are that we spend £9 billion a year on 24/7 surveillance of 30,000 suspected persons of interest.
That is 3 teams of 4 per day. So 12 people, surveilling one person, 8 hour shifts, all day, every day. Times it by 30,000.
As I say, those figures are years old. Probably could double or triple that today.

I do agree with you on 1 and 2, and not just for USA government.

I agree.
The thing is we have only just begun to realise that in fact even through our birth certificates they can keep track of us.
Everything now is about not just the surveillance but the control that it gives them.
Unless we go 100% off grid,, then they can if they want track most people. And with everything becoming digital it makes them ever easier to track us.

Tell you what really pissed me off today, and first time this has ever happened.
I logged into my bank acc today, and they wanted details of everything, job, name of company, {I took pleasure in typing NOSY as the name of the company, that was the only instance I could freehand a response, most others were pick from drop down menu), income before tax, nationality, how much will be going into that account this year, what colour my knickers are, etc etc.
I'm so fed up with this data harvesting and intrusion of my privacy, which of course will be going straight to government/HMRC and sold to marketers, as gov will be the ones that have told banks they want all this info.
Far as I'm concerned, when I opened that acc years ago, I already had to provide all details of my ID, with evidence. Why have to do it again, and more.
Grrrrr.
