Sad and scary. I have even stopped vaccinating my canine companions other than rabies which NC state forces owners to get.

My state the same and it is absolutely scarey. I used to be able to titre them after their first rabies. I always rescue but the vets around here and groomers refuse to see them if they are not up to date. Have you seen the vets on the rabies???

Yes, I have seen vets saying only 1 rabies shot for a dog is good for life. When I was a kid, in the 70s and early 80s, our dog received 1 rabies shot and that was it. Nothing else.
A few years ago I met a woman who bred Great Danes. She had like 10 puppies in the back of her SUV at the vet. I was talking with her, I told her I loved GDs but they don't like long enough. She told me she had a GD at home that was 19 years old and another that was 11. I asked her what her secret was, she said, "NO SHOTS!"
I was already an anti-vaxer long before COVID so I was in complete agreement with her.

I have an autoimmune. I have not had a vax since I was old enough to make my own decisions whether to get on or not. My company almost canned me. I was up for a promotion and funny how that didn't happen and probably never will now. Your pronouns are more important than your work ethic and your dedication. I am still glad I did not take it.
