We are meant to see that there is no one fit to lead - for "all have sinned" and finally decide to walk away from it all...and give unto Cesar what is Cesar's. You have to want that - and it is a vibe that you cannot fake. So, the entire illusion must be destroyed - including the "savior" narrative. How I see it, anyway.
