The order was - to be ready to attack people (even with sharp bullets). Snipers were ready on the roofs around the entire Václavské náměstí in Prague, and among the people were "cheerleaders" from the StB. Everything was clearly given and prepared. The military, the police, the politicians and the intelligence services knew it. For this, they all received bonuses to their salaries (CZK 1,000 outside of Prague + other benefits) - confirmed by specific police officers who personally participated.
I know this from my grandfather (he had it firsthand, from the Ministry of the Interior), so it's true. As early as 1987, files of former StB, politicians, etc. were mass stored and burned in South Czechia. What was published in the Cibulka list is not even 50% of all criminals. Those from high posts were transferred to other high posts.
