In January, 2021, when I joined AU, I selected this as (and is) my banner image.

Before AU, I did not consider evil a real thing.

I considered it a concept, a descriptor for the things people did.

But, over the years, I came to realize, evil is a thing, a thing that influences, creates for itself and gathers. Its aim a world slavery, overseen by itself, not just an abstract concept, a name given to an act.

I changed that view as time went on, realizing this is a battle, in a war against absolute evil.

I have to assume, for the universe to be in balance, that its opposite - absolute good - exists too, working subtly through people like us, influencing and creating, gathering for itself, but, with the aim of giving us our natural freedom, our personal responsibility and the power that goes with that, back.

We have been on the parapet ever since, and still are.
