This is just so hard on everyone. I do not have all the answers, but I do believe we are somehow making sure that these levels of obscurity and human rights offenses are brought to the light and not allowed to continue to happen well into our children and grandchildren’s future. It is not at all fair. It is crimes against humanity and a horrible lesson. We are squarely into the territory of “just following orders” whilst every level of our lives was clearly infiltrated. It does not make things any easier, nor defensible, other than to force everyone to see the light and take a stand. Anger must be part of it, not that I want everyone to be hurt or angry. I have struggled with, “how do we stop things” and my only conclusion so far is that righteousness and anger do serve a purpose. These are tough subjects to comprehend in the grand scheme of things.
