If you are looking for REAL daily updates on what's happening in WNC, specifically the Swannanoa Valley, Jason A. Ward is your guy.

He is the frontman for Silverados - an outdoor concert venue that turned into a donation drop and pick-up center.

I helped out there yesterday and was amazed at the levels of organization, the amounts and kinds off donations that have been delivered from so many people across the country, and the sheer number of folks that came through to get their cars filled with things they never thought they would have to ask for, and received so graciously.

Oh, and the lack of rain for 4 weeks post-disaster has turned the area into an apocalyptic dust bowl.
