This is why it's important to never mix chemicals without knowing how they will react to each other.

Even if you are disposing chemicals at a designated waste drainage you should rinse with water in between chemicals.

Interesting.

Last week I mixed up a 2/1 ratio of white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide to spray on the backing of carpet that soaked in water from a plumbing leak over a weekend. The mixture prevents and kills mildew.

Worked great!

I think I read peracetic acid is a cleaner. Maybe percentage for either or both may make it more unstable.
