I think there was a post that said they tried to assassinate Trump 57 times.
It's a good thing we're all praying for him!

Yes indeed. I never used to think of 'evil' as a pure form, just people being bad because they are mentally or physically sick.
I have come to revise that outlook, and see that yes, there are a group who are absolutely sane, but, completely evil, that they have been conditioned from birth to believe what they do is 'right'.

Yes, conditioned from birth or indoctrinated into the Freemasons or other evil, Satanic group.
It starts out innocuously but when higher levels are reached it becomes more and more evil.
There may even be a 'sickness' to it, but evil is a much better name.
I find it interesting how the Freemasons claim people are members.
For instance, they invited George Washington to speak at one of their meetings.
Then they called him a member.
They lie and if they can claim such a hero as a member, it helps them to indoctrinate people.
Evil can be an individual thing or a traditional Satanic-religious thing.
Maybe the fact that there are evil individuals makes it harder to realize that it is, as you wrote, a pure form.
I think evil is incomprehensible to most good people. And for some, it's too scary to think about!
