And I for one am eternally grateful for the awesome way in which, having been down a myriad of sometimes bloody awful paths in life, something greater has always had a guiding hand on my shoulder pushing me ever onward in the constant belief that not always is "anything better than nothing. But sometimes, nothing is better".

I was trying to explain this very sentiment to my best friend yesterday, who struggles to believe in God because of Catholic conditioning.

I assured her, God is very real-

When I began my healing journey I was extremely anxious when out and about in public. I went shopping one day and I found myself filling my cart with workout clothes-I was determined to buy them even though I'd nowhere to where them.

A month later I drove past our local gym, took a deep breath and joined.

I was terrified, truly. I didn't trust anyone, let alone myself.

An entire world opened up to me, it wasn't easy but it was crucial to my recovery.
