Yesterday my son shared that he has begun walking with some of the local homeless.
When he finished high school he did a "walk about" going entirely across the country.
For a time he was homeless & has never shared the nightmares he experienced.
He doesn't want me to know.

I believe this is his way of healing.

He met an older, very wise & compassionate man. They walk a route of many city blocks & talk. An Angel among the homeless.

He also met & has assisted a 19 year old woman with drug issues who works FULL time cleaning rooms at a high end hotel, yet can't afford rent nor qualify for housing.
There are now 250 plus homeless in the city I live.
Unnecessary greed & political BS.
(Not to be confused with the grifting panhandlers. I have evidential stories to share.)

Carry bottled water, inexpensive umbrellas and / or gift cards for local fast food places to hand out to those sitting in the hot summer sun obviously in need.
Fast food is better than no food.
